Hello and welcome to GunTotinHippies.com. I originally started this website a few years ago when I got together with a bunch of friends and I got together to go shooting. We realized something, except for my wife and I (we could be best described as libertarians), everyone else was there was a liberal. In other words, we are bunch of gosh darn gun totin’ hippies.
You need to understand something. Hippies in Texas are a bit different from many other places in the world (especially if they were raised here). A post I read on a gun forum described it best. A man was making a private sale to an individual and agreed to meet him at his home. His home turned out to be a commune in the Austin area. When they were sitting and talking, some of the other commune residents saw what they were talking about and brought out their firearms (to show them off). As another example, two friends of mine moved to San Francisco. Here, in Texas, they are considered granola chewing, tree hugging hippies. In San Francisco they had people calling them right wing fascists. Liberal/conservative is all in the eyes of the beholder.
I will be posting firearms reviews and information on Second Amendment issues. I am hoping to show that firearms and the Second Amendment are not things that determine liberal/conservative or Republican/Democrat. Firearms and the Second Amendment are human rights.
